One Month Update

I can’t believe it’s been over a month since I brought Odyss home! Thank you so much for your supportive comments on our last post. I had planned to tell you more of our story this last month but life happens and adulting is hard, lol.

Odyss has adjusted really well and is coming out of his shell more and more every day. His favorite thing is our walks when I get home from work every evening. He waits at the door spinning in circles. He also jumps A LOT! We might notice he is missing something but don’t tell him that.

We even did a three mile hike Memorial Day weekend!

So far he’s learned hand singles for sit and lay and we’re working on recall. He just gets so excited and happy and has a hard time paying attention.  He had to get a new collar because he loves rolling in cow patties in the pasture.

The meek and mild rescue I brought home is now a very vibrant and joyful dog.

He will played tug for short bits of time but has no real interest in toys. I’m thinking about getting him involved in agility to help him burn off some of his energy and use his brain. Has anyone else had success with a tripawd and agility?

Thanks for stopping by and check out his Instagram Odyss.tripawd for more pictures!

I’m Odyss!

I was hit by a car. Luckily some nice people at a local humane society found me and saved me. They tried so very hard to save my leg but in the end it had to go. It’s better to hop on the three than to limp on four.

My mom adopted me on 5-6-17 and took me home to live with her. I was scared at first but together we’re learning a lot. We’re starting a five week obedience training this week and I’m so excited to learn (and to get lots of treats!)

Thanks for stopping by, I can’t wait to get to know you!
